In the evenings the Story Weaver, Ailsa Tudhope, entertains visitors as she relates tales about local characters and ghosts on her Ghost Walk, or tells stories over a pre-dinner drink. Once it is dark Astrotours can provide a fascinating glimpse into the crystal clear night skies. |

The Fransie Pienaar Museum is recognised as one of the best local museums in the country. At Wolskuur Weavery you can watch mohair rugs and cotton runners being woven. The SoetKaroo cellar is across the road from Mai's - here you can taste dessert wines from the second smallest registered wine estate in the country. |

A visit to Gay's Dairy is a must. The team produce cheeses that have won awards in South Africa and abroad. The local Olive Farm and fig farms welcome visitors and there are hiking trails and 4x4 drives for guests who favour adventure activities. The Swartberg Mountains and the world famous Swartberg Pass lie behind the village. |
