We chanced upon Mai's when we arrived in Prince Albert looking for a room for the night, and I'm so pleased that we did! Mai is so welcoming and friendly and makes you feel completely at home - she's like your Aunty! The rooms are all beautifully turned out and furnished really nicely and we were so pleased to have electric blankets as it was chilly. Couldn't have asked for a nicer breakfast the following morning (ask for the herbed scrambled eggs - amazing!) and Mai also recommended a great place for dinner at The Gallery. Overall, we loved our time in Prince Albert and will definitely be back and DEFINITELY stay at Mai's again.

Just happened to chance upon Mai's. What a wonderfull experience. Great host, quaint quirky room, fantastic atmosphere, great breakfast. Best towels ever. Overall unbeatable value.

Mai's guesthouse is perfectly situated in Prince Albert in a lovely old house with wooden floors, sash windows etc. We had a wonderful four nights in this beautiful Karoo town. Mai went out of her way to make our stay pleasant - even tracking down some jam that I particularly liked at her (delicious) breakfast. We also loved all her cats!

Mai brings Irish charm, warmth, and friendliness to this perfectly situated guest house. Our room was spacious and full of character, with a lovely en suite. We were at the front of the house, but could not hear any noise from the road. The guest house has lovely breakfast areas which look out over the garden, and the breakfast was great.

Mai booked our evening meal in a local restaurant, and even recommended her favourite dishes. Will definitely return to Mai's if we are anywhere in the locality.
